This painting represents future dreaming of what true reconciliation would look like for me. Of healing, deep listening, learning and the forging of our people for a more beautiful and inclusive future.
The different colours represents Australia’s diversity of cultures, while the circle patterns represent sacred gathering sites where we come together to share our stories and celebrate our unique Australian heritage. The U shapes are our diverse people who have created a historic cultural environment throughout Australia that is lively, spiritual, innovative, hopeful and outward looking. In the middle is our Mother Earth. She does not discriminate, she does not care about the colour of our skin or where we come from. She is one... and together WE are one.
